It's been a long time since I last wrote here...
reading these posts reminded me of the days in dhs... since July, I've have been in dhs for one whole semester...
4 months has passed... & memories are all I have. This reminds me of something that I've posted somewhere else a long time ago... remembering...

Dearest all...

Today is the 2nd last paper for Yr 1s to Yr 3s... Wow... The papers r intense....

I've tried reading thru some of the papers... (HCL paper 1, Geog, Hist, Lang Arts[English], HCL paper 2, Science in sequence) Of course, i did REALLY paid attention to what the kids r doing... but they are a much better batch that i can give them my 95% faith... hahhahahahahahhaaa.. (of course cannot totally 100%.. cuz I still have to worry.. sooo when i worry.. means not 100% le lor..) Ok.. I've digressed...

Coming back to the papers... now i finally realised that I'M SO GLAD I DIDN'T TAKE HCL!!!! the paper is sooooo irritating... mostly about comprehension.. it's almost Chinese Lit, but with short stories as compre.. i dropped out of HCL after one yr of trying (after P5).. hahaha... not that it's bad.. it's just that it's not my interest... i think...

Geog & history is still e same...nothing much has changed in our physical Earth or history (hahahahahhaaaaa) LA... hasn't changed ONE BIT... & i guess it'll remain like that forever more...

Now to the most important paper tat i want to talk about... SCIENCE!!!!!! =o=lll

This paper is a killer... DHS Sci is a killer... these poor things, at the age of ONLY 13 years old, have to endure a paper that is splitted into 4 parts, Section A is MCQ, Sec B, C, D is Physics, Chem & Bio...... THIS IS CRAZY!!!!!!! sighsighsigh.... now i'm sooooo glad i'm in a different era from u guys... good luckz for tmr...

as for the songs.... (songs of the week i mean..) Welll..... guess i should be changing it soon.. after the exams, i'll change the song from breakaway to breaking free... hahahhahahahahaaaa.... [that's the reason i didn't change the songs for sooooo long... well.. besides that i'm lazy of course.. hahahahhahaha...]

part 2....

okies... here's what happened after the 2 vigorous days of kayaking..

Saturday, after 6pm:
Reached home.. finally.. & thennnn.. went to sleep right away.. (cuz bathed at the water venture club la!!..) didn't even eat dinner... tooo sleepy.... (read previous post for reason..)

Sunday, after 6pm:
same thing happened..... hahahhahaaaa..... but.. i did went down to eat dinner.. but.... got no more energy to do stuff le.. so went to sleep right after that.. (that is after I prepared what i wana wear to sch on mon.. cuz i won't have time to do that in the morn.. &.. bcuz i got sunburn on my shoulders, i decided to wear sleeveless... bet u guys didn't notice!!!! hahhaa... i dun wear sleeveless de..)

Monday, School day, day 1:
wore sleeveless to sch.. but cuz no lesson.. den stayed in staffroom to do work that i missed for 2 days... it's cold... cuz forgot to bring my dearest nike windbreaker/jacket given to me by my dearest dearies... sighsigh.. luckily air con not that cold anyway... but it's still cold.. sighsigh..

Went home, in the evening;
During dinner, found out mom & sis-in-law are both not feeling well... sighsigh..

Tuesday, school day, day 2:
felt ill in the morning... abit like gonna burn up.. so decided to look thru all the drawers to find 2 miserable paracetamol.. took it after i drank my daily morning milk..

wore sleeveless to sch again... this time got 1 hour of lessons.. Yr Ones.. u know who u are.. luckily i brought my jacket.. but.... cuz got burnt shoulders.. so cannot put my arms in, it'll hurt like hell with the friction on my shoulders.. bet most of u didn't noe tat!!!! XD

felt dizzy when teaching class.. u noe who u are.. den they dun wanna listen to me.. u noe who u are... soooooo... after the lesson.. went back to staffroom.. decided to rest abit... den... found out i might have fever (but dun have thermometer..) cuz seem pretty hot & dizzy.. hands feeling cold... went to the toilet to warm hands (cuz got the hand dryer.. haha..) felt better.. went back to SR.. felt cold after awhile.. went to fill waterbot with warm water & set outside the staffroom to warm hands... (me with my jacket [cuz dun care about the pain le.. it felt worse with the hot & cold within me than the pain on my shoulders..] with my hands on my water bottle... some chers ask if i'm not feeling well.. i say.. ya. i think i might have fever.. den smiled weakly..)

ate lunch outside too.. cuz cannot stand the aircon inside... den decided to go see doc...

at the polyclinic, saw a male doc(dun think wai wai.. will tell u reason why i stated this later..):
asked me what happened... told him might have fever.. & throat felt swallon.. told him i went kayaking for 2 days.. den he prejudicely thot it's heat stroke (it might be.. but he juz seriously said.. i think you have a heat stroke..) den measured my temp (its 39.4!!!!! i was pretty shocked.. even he gave a weak smile..) den gave me paracetamol, meds for flu & a meds for reducing inflammation... &.. 1 day MC.. (only 1 day!!!!)

Wednesday:
felt sick.. really sick... den slept the whole day.. woke up to eat porridge & meds.. den sleep... still having fever btw 38.5 & 39.5 despite taking paracetamol.. den.... vomited.. sighsigh... 4 times summore.. slept the whole day... [later then i found out it's bcuz of the meds tat made me drowsy]

Thursday:
still having fever.. went to see doc again.. they gave me e same male doc.. den he saw me.. ask me how i was... told him fever nvr go down.. den he say nvm.. it's like tat.. den gave me 2 more days of MC... (for thursday & friday..)

Friday, Saturday, Sunday:
for the next few days.. all i did was eat porridge, eat meds, den sleep.... but felt getting better.. despite still having slight fever once in a while (slight meaning 38.6... =.=lll) den...

Monday, came to school:
found out i sort of lost my voice.. still have slight fever once in awhile.. sooo.. went see doc again... but this time... another doc..a female doc.... she listened to my stories (about my past few days, including me goin kayakin...) den told me it's ok. den gave me paracetamol (yay!! my previous prescription had finished.. & she gave me more than tat guy.. she told me tat it's normal to feel feverish, cuz my throat still abit swollen.. tat guy nvr say tat lo!!!!), mouth gargle, lozenges, & finally.. antibiotics... (tat man didn't give me this lo!!! i noe it's not good if i eat too much cuz will lower my immune system... but... i was soooo sick!!! can't he think it's not heat stroke but flu or something else tat involve a bug?!?!?!)

den ya... i went back to sch e next day.. with my voice missing in action (most of it anyway)..

but now... i'm feeling much better... no longer feeling feverish, now longer sick.. but still coughing tho... but heard that 'coughing need 100 days to get well'... well.. hopefully it'll get better before the 100 days r up!...

[Soooo.... this is my long long 2nd part of e story... which i have saved as draft for sooooo long... finally got time to finish writin it.. bee hogged by 2 person.. hahaha... sorry dears! i'll try to update this blog... STAT!! (hahahhaa... jing.. do u still rmb this? from ND.. e thing abt short terms used in hospitals.. hahahhahaaaa... i think e paper still with me...)

Bake Potatoes in Salt Water..

Sighsighsigh..... these 2 weeks have been pretty uneventful, as compared to how hyperly exciting this past 2 weeks have been!...

Sounds weird rite?... sighsigh... cuz it has been BOTH uneventful & exciting at the same time..

btw, do u noe u can bake potatoes in salt water? i didn't noe tat!!!... anyway.. i'm not the potato.. my sis-in-law is... (will tell u why at the end of this post..)

well.... let's start from 3 weeks ago, on a Saturday (& Sunday..)...... cuzzz... the holiday weekdays were reallyyyy uneventful (except Friday, cuz i went to S Flyer.. & Thursday, cuz i went to cook with my frens.. but tat's another story.. will tell next time..), so i'll juz start from Saturday..

6th Sept 08 (Saturday)
Lovely weather (big sun, clear sky, wat more can u want?)

Early in the morn(before 5am):
was up & about (not really about.. was sitting on my bed..) watching finaly episodes of Gokusen 1.. [it's a Jap drama about a young, idealistic female teacher who enters Shirokin Gakuen with hopes of making a difference in the students' lives. HOWEVER, she became the Homeroom teacher (meaning form teacher) of the infamous 3-D (supposedly the worse class in the entire sch). The students try to bully her to make her quit, but their attempts don't get them very far.
ANOTHER twist comes in... What the class and the rest of the school does not know is that she is the 4th generation heir to a notorious Yakuza clan (meaning mobster clan) (cuz she's the granddaughter of the big boss of the Ooedo Group.)]

5am:
finally finished the show (season 1 only...), including the ending special (meaning special episode..), den went to bed (as in took the table with my laptop off my bed & lie down on the bed to sleep..)

8.30am:
woke up cuz meeting frens at Kallang MRT station..

9.30am:
was e 1st to reach e station... i stupid dumdum... should have known they'll b late.. should have slept earlier(meaning like 11pm the previous day..).. should have woken up later... sighsigh..

10am:
called the person @ the place we goin cuz we didn't know how to reach the place (after all my frens reached the station..)

10.30am:
finally reached the destination of where we need to go (after ALOT of walking cuz e person on the phone) [supposedly to reach by 10am.. but cuz of the poor direction sense of the director(meaning e guy on the phone.. not discriminating, but dun u guys ask for directions?!?! even if we're the ones asking & u dunno how to explain, can't u get some1 who knows to tok to us?!??!!), we walked in circles until finally reaching the place UNDERNEATH NICOLL HIGHWAY (can't tat guy juz tell us it's under nicoll highway?!?!??!?!!)]

Do u noe why i went to a place under the nicoll highway?!?! cuzzzz... I WENT TO SIGN UP FOR A KAYAKING 1STAR COURSE!!! (& this takes place over 2 days, from 10am to 5pm.. about la..)

okok.. sooooo den... for those 2 days, me & frens kayaked like crazy, capsized like crazy (at least 8 times over the 2 days.. cuzzz it's a course, so have to learn how to capsize properly.. sighsigh.. drank in lots of kallang river water..), tanned like crazy (at least got no tan tattoos like last time, but it's another story.. if u wanna noe, i'll tell it the next time..), & skin peeled like crazy (esp e face.. hahhaa.. now no more le.. finished peeling..)

NOW.. for the next part of the story.. i'll put it in the next post..

okok.... as to wat i said from the above... will tell u wat i meant by baking potatoes in salt water..

potatoes = me & frens
salt water = kallang basin water (we even kayaked to suntec.. can u believe it?! ^v^)
baked potatoes = me & frens tanned...

as to why my sis-in-law is a potato but not me... cuz... her name is Marlene... sooo, 1 time we were tokin about potatoes (马铃薯).. i suddenly said '羊'... cuzzz.... she zodiac sign is Goat... sooo meaning.. 马铃薯...羊 (Marlene 属羊)... ^v^.. soooo now.. whenever we toked about potatoes.. will keep saying.. 马铃薯...羊....... & tat's the story...

Singapore Flyer!!

next, i went onto the Singapore Flyer!!!!! YAY!!!!! hahhaaa..

i went for the Zao Bao S Flyer Ride for the nominated teachers, so, we get to have a free ride on the S Flyer, & free food!!!

it was pretty fun.. buuuutttt.... i won't recommend it now, cuz there's lloootttsss of construction goin on (as i've heard from a fren, Singapore is a BIIIG construction site, so there'll b neverendin construction everywhere.. =.=lll) u can see batam & Sentosa from up there (according to the pretty pretty tourguide behind me when i was queuing (^v^)..) [& i did see them, well, should b, cuz even tho they didn't hold up there nameboards, i labeled the islands as Batam & Sentosa from the Compass map provided by the S Flyer peeps..]
<--: the little island on the left, beyond e sea..] <--: the island with lots of trees at the back.. farrr back..] aaaaand, we saw TAO LI!!! & cuz i'm a shy person, i can only take her pix from afar.. <--: e 1 with spiky hair takin pix with a long hair gal..] after takin a group pix [for Zao Bao i think.. but i dun have e pix.. sigh..], we had food from Popeye's Chicken & Biscuit.. with a cup of coke, 1 pc chicken, fries, & 1 biscuit (?) [in e box, on e right].. tat biscuit is shaped like a rock, & VERY salty... but it taste good.. hahahhaaaa.....

welll... i took many nice nice pix.. soooo go take a look at S Flyer on 5th Sept 2008!

It's been SUCH a slack weekend... & YAYYYY!!! My bro's Bday is TODAY!!!!

We went to have dinner in Douby Xchange... At Just Acias.. The food was pretty good...

We ordered, [i think...] TOOOOOO MUCHHHH... cuz they have set lunches, & double set lunches... & cuz we want to try everything, so we each ordered a double set lunch... Will upload the pics next time cuz i didn't bring my cam...

Too bad for this clas cuz i didn't bring the cam.. or can take pix of their pretty pretty works.. but since i dun think they will b havin lessons today, i guess i won't b c-ing their pretty works ayway..

Oh.. ya.. forgot 1 thing we watched yest nite.. THE 2008 BEIJING OLYMPICS CLOSING CEREMONY!!!! it's welll... not as good as the opening ceremony... like alot of other peeps will say... i heard from mom that zhang yi mou say the fre part is the best.. so i guess he means the many many people climbing up the GIANT tower right in the middle of the field.. it's suppose to be like the olympics flame.. guess his best means the final 文 word is the middle, when the long pretty pretty fabrics were being pulled up...

den the many FAMOOUS peeps singin... like Lee Hom, Karen Mok (? i didn't see her, but my bro say have..) & the visa famous guy (dun really like him, so won't name him here.. u should noe who i tokin about..)

DEN... I BOUGHT A NEW JAP DRAMA!!!! YAY!!!!! started watchin last night.. it's pretty good... but weird ~ like all Jap Dramas~ cuz.... even food can have detectives....

It's about this detective, who love to eat... den he solves cases, which suprisingly, always revolve around food... Ep. 1 is abt Ramen, Ep. 2 abt bolognese... When i watch, i was like~~~ hungrrryyy...~~~ but their food looked delicious, but weird.... cuz their bolognese was pretty dry.. i think they stir the spaghetti in the sauce, so it looked dry... BUT i think i'll learn lots from this drama...

well... i think i'll tok about more later.... too long for my usual c***... will post more food pix next time..

(i think.. i might have gotten it wrong.. but ya.. they managed to finish!!! except for 1 group.. cuz they lost their product.. ouch.. i feel for them.. good luckz redoin!!) 2G&H oso finished presenting.. won't b seeing u guys anymore!!! (i think.. ur FTs might think otherwise tho.. i dunno..) 2I&J.. U GUYS R TOO SLOW!!!! even after i asked u to come down.. u guys can still wayang with me.. too draggy le..

my baby niece (in the picture!!) won't come home, cuz her daddy not home, den her granmama (from her mama's side) thinks she shouldn't be out at night (cuz of 7th month..)

SOOOOOO... it's been 5 lonely nights without her... BUT!!!
cuz my bro came back tonite!!!! so we went to her granmama's place (cuz she can't leave home to go airport to meet her daddy at night cuz of 7th month..) DEN WE FINALLY SAW HER!!!!!

Yesterday was a pretty hactic day.. I had Three groups of Yr Twos, who showed me three different sides of a coin (usually there's only 2 sides.. but they're really good magicians!..)

Thank you very much HanG gliders! You've made my day! Almost all the groups had their proposal done, while some others already finished their items!!! Well Done!

FrEedom fighters, good try! wishing u a HOLEY GRAIL for passing me your proposal drafts!..

2 KooL, you're too cool for me... every time i start talking, i have a feeling that i can't get pass all those ice to get to ur ears.. how?!?! next lesson will be the presentation! how are you goin to finish?!?! so now i'm hoping with all my heart that you will send me your proposal drafts so that at least that won't go wrong..

juz when i tot that my day can't get worse, IT DID!!!!!!!! i became my twin, the 2nd half of me..
i became a leymist (word derived from leym, for tat word, check the pronounciation key from dictionary.com)

but hopefully the lesson was fun!!! subsequently, i hope tat they will be more outspoken (only to me, not to their frens..) so tat i will no longer feel lonely anymore..

come to think of it, i'll b C-ing my DEARS (tat includes the 7 flowers) later.. hope they rmb to bring their pencil cases!!! (i think they'll bring their whole BAG!!!) \\(~o~)//

What a weird morning.. q(~o~)p

i had my first disappointment of the day.. it was my first lesson, & i had lots of fun stuff to do with them, but they made me sad.. i was so sad tat i forgot wat i came into the class for..
(T.T)
I went into the class to teach, but in the end, they taught me instead..

They taught me that even though there are obstacles, even if there are distractions, i should not lose sight of my vision, and more importantly, i should not lose sight of my faith.
there are always two halves of a soul, when half of it doesn't want to learn, i should be teaching the other half instead.

After this, i will remember tat and think of Harvey Dent.. ( ^/*#)

Monday Blues~

Monday again.. But at least i see only one group of students!

So, into the class i went, with all my energy of the day (watever that's left from the wkend partying KTVing & planning lessons..)
it's only the 2nd time i see them, the ever talkative 2A & 2B.. but today, they were able to keep quiet for me to finish briefing them about th e project! Thanx to the ever supportive 'Oi! Keep quiet la! Cher tokin' fans, luv u guys always!

Tmr will b a long day for me.. i'll b C-ing 6 YrOne classes & 2 YrTwo classes.. all together 4 hours.. but!! I'll C 1K&L!!!

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;

Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

But through the works of heaven,
there comes the time of man.
With time on their shoulders,

Now come the era of humans,

Now gone is the eon of nature,
but near is the stage of the fools.

As gone is the gold of the first greens,
and gone is the earliest leafs.

Rapping, rapping at my chamber door...

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door--
Only this, and nothing more."

This past week, there have been many rapping,
Rapping at my door.
Are they of substance and real?
Or are they just tapping,
and nothing more?

There came a moment,
where I thought it real.
but is it my imagination?,
or is it just frills?

Should I be happy, and perch in the sun?
Or should I be weary,
taking comfort in the warmth of my chamber and blankets,
and rolled up in a bun.

And so I have thought through,
when the rapping insisted.
To trust in the actions and lyrics,

Let Ashtrees and Birchtrees,
and the loud calling of the Jaybird.
To tap me on my head,
with their branches and cause me great pert.
